Another Great Half Term!

We have had a very busy half term learning all about traditional tales, the United Kingdom and of course many areas of Maths.
We finished the day by reading our own stories to each other and creating valentines cards in the style of Mondrian.

Have a lovely half term, keep safe, keep smiling and come back rested and refreshed

Traditional Tales Day

Today was a celebration of all the fantastic work we have been doing this term based on Traditional Tales.

We made porridge, just like the Three Bears.

We tasted five different beans, just like the ones Jack bought.

We played board games based on Traditional Tales.

We decorated gingerbread men, just like the story- The Gingerbread Man.

We used 2Simple to draw scenes of our favourite Traditional Tales

In the afternoon we had a Traditional Ball.

Traditional Tales

Year one have worked really hard this term discovering all about different traditional tales.

The topic has raised some interesting questions,
Was Jack right to go in to the Giant's house?
Did the Giant really deserve to get hurt and loose his home?
Why was Goldilocks left to play on her own?
Is the Wolf actually a nice person?

Tuesday will be our celebration day of all our hard work.....
